I-Suite Hotel - Rimini - Italy

These are some photos of the i-Suite Hotel opened in Rimini, Italy.

It looks simply fantastic.

And this picture is from a room.

Here is the comments of the interior architect of the hotel.

Description of the i-SUITE Hotel Interior by Simone Micheli

The i-SUITE interior architectural plan lies its foundations in the concept of modern luxury I developed after a thorough and targeted thinking. During the “XXX Congreso Colombiano de Arquitectura” ( 30th Colombian Architecture Convention) which took place in Barranquilla (Colombia) in 2007 I asserted: “ …the new luxury does not mean immobility or habit, but rather freedom and movement. It is a light and a stirring thought, at any moment we are able to choose where and how to live and to reinvent the environment we live in.

As for architecture the new luxury is related to the idea of regaining the beauties and the truth of our daily life together with our inner feelings. It is more connected with vacuums than with plenums, more with mind than with body. It does not mean opulence but rather transparency. I am talking about possible places where yours and our histories are echoing in the shape of visual, olfactory, tactile and auditory essence. I am telling you a story which has its roots in the past and in the tastes of exotic places but at the same time it is near and next future oriented. This future I am referring to is not made up of mimesis, emulation but rather it reprensents the truth and the oneness which envelope and protect us in order to live instead of just surviving in a restless and alienating reality. I am talking about non-places, natural habitats where the deepest and the most genuine personality of each person emerges and where anyone can establish a symbiotic relationship with himself and with the nature which created us.

Sorry

Sorry for the absence but i have been too busy lately.

I was a media officer trainee in Beşiktaş-CSKA Moscow match which went great. Thanks to UEFA. I will now wait for the assignment in UEFA Europa League Last 32.

Getting prepared for 23 December when we announce the logo to our public.

Sweden-Norway bid seems to be over. I am not delighted or anything. It is a shame for both governments not to support such a great tournament. I will write an article on that very soon.

In my littlest free time i try to watch these shows: Ezel, Flashforward and play FIFA 2010 online.

I decided to write my know how on website creation based on content.

The worst program of Turkish TV scene lately is Sosyal Alem. Terrible really. It is based on social media and the presenter has no idea about it.

The Damned United is such a great book. David Pearce is brilliant. Cloughie on the other hand is a genius but the greates pain in the ass.

Trying to get to build some blocks for TFF employees. Will see what will happen about that.

Will write more frequently. Promise.

Sometimes

Such a great work.Lovely scenery. I saw this at ubersuper.com.

This little bug made a great leap to reach that point. In the end probably eaten by the birds or a kid hit it with a finger.

Sometimes i feel we all are like this little bug.

Adidas-Star Wars

Adidas will be releasing a new line for Star Wars fans. The shoes look great. It will certainly be the most selling line of the year.

In the mean time Converse is doing a line with Metallica.

A bad choice

When the company was founded in beginning of 90's the owners should have thought that it was a great name for a telecom operator. It is both local with the technological flavour. More than a decade later they probably think it is the worst thing the company ever faced.

I am talking about Turkcell for sure. They are "the" telecom operator in Turkey, have investments in other countries easily can turn into a global player however their name is the problem.

It is too local. For instance Turkcell has the sources to become a major sponsor in all football related events but due to different brands in all the invested countries they can not do so.

I told this to a German friend of mine last week and he told me the story of Deutsche Telecom turning into T-Mobile. I believe Turkcell needs that kind of a brand change in the future if it has the will to expand to new markets.

Why am i thinking about this in the early hours of a Tuesday? Well simply because i believe a Turkish brand shall sponsor UEFA Champions League, Europa League or EURO 2012 and 2016 very soon. In search of that brand i am curious whether we have such a strong brand or not.

What do you think? Which Turkish company can sponsor a major sports event in the near future?

Note 1: According to a newspaper article i learned that Turkcell name was founded by a guy called Thorsten Press. He was the CEO of ComViq company that invested for telecom operators in Turkey, Greece and Thailand. Press ran after the licence with Murat Vargı for years and then sold his share of the company to Americans. He came up with the name. Maybe his idea was creating a global umbrella company for all his local branches. However health issues hindered that process.

Note 2: ComViq was acquired by Tele2 which is a major player in Scandanavia some years ago.
