Dubai Underground System to sell naming rights

Dubai is probably the most popular city in Middle East with a  population on 1,5 million.

Estimated population of 2020 is 5,2 million. So an underground system of 312 km's will be built with an estimated price tag of  4,2 billion dollars. The underground system will carry 1,2 million everyday when it will be finished in 2020.

As the costs are so high Dubai Transport Authority will be selling the naming rights of the stations to companies such as First Gulf Bank, Etisalat and Nakheel.

The stations will only be dedicated to the companies that buy the stations naming right and all other advertising will be blocked.

There will be around 47 stations in the first two lines of the underground system.

Gudjon Mar Gudjonsson

As we all know Iceland is in big trouble. The country went bankrupt in the end of last year due to global crisis and trying to recover from there. 

A non-profit group is organised by Gudjon Mar Gudjonsson, who is an entrepreneur, is now trying to find out solutions for Iceland's economic recovery. They meet every Saturday to discuss new ideas. 

The main idea is channeling the human potential of Iceland into entrepreneurship. The president of Iceland is backing the organisation and who knows the ministry can be official very soon. 

A ministry dealing with projects of immense size is also necessary for Turkey. Especially in regards to huge scale organizations. This can be formed independent of the government and rate the governments projects. It can even be a webpage online like Twitter. But strict moderation is a must as usual.

I wrote two articles yesterday inspired by this book. 

Branson's autobiography Losing My Virginity was a bestseller in the end of 90's. Branson told the story of foundation of his empire in that book.
