Anton Yelchin

The ones that watched Star Trek and Terminator Salvation left the theatres with a smile on their faces. A smile caused by the presence of a young guy Anton Yelchin who has the potential to be one of the greatest movie stars of the upcoming decade.

This Russian descendant boy is born in 1989 in Leningrad, (nowadays St. Petersburg). His father and mother(Viktor and Ilina) are known figure skaters that imigrated to USA just before the wall collapses and Soviet Union is history. His father and mother were succesful figure skaters however were not allowed to participate 1972 Olympics because they were Jewish. They raised their only child Anton in USA. His first major role was in Hearts in Atlantis with Anthony Hopkins.

Since he was a little kid he knew what to do. He rejected to be a figure skater at the age of 4 and started his training in acting. He has been very active since he was 10 years old. He is one of the hottest talents around. He was casted in the role of Pavel Chekov in Star Trek and Kyle Reese in Terminator Salvation and surely 2009 is his year.

Here are the most known movies of Anton Yelchin. In autumn the blurays of Star Trek and Terminator will be coming too.
