Sarkozy will rebuild Paris


French President Nicolas Sarkozy announced yesterday that one of the biggest development projects of the world will take place in Paris in the upcoming 13 years.
France will spend around 30 billion Euros for 10 projects that will turn Paris into economic centre of the world.
A 130 km metro line will reunite Paris as the city is divided by a highway. Paris municipality will allow building of 20 skyscrapers in the centre of the city and every year around 70000 new flats will be built into the city to provide for the housing demand. The population of the city centre is now 2,5 million reaching 12 million with the suburbs. With the new projects Paris will reach a population of 23 million people.
A new forest will be created near De Gaulle Airport and one of the biggest technology parks of the world will be built near Saclay.
Nicolas Sarkozy says while answering financial concerns "Answer to the crisis is great projects. France will ony emerge with great projects."
